Silk Oil of Morocco Story

Situated in northern Africa and with a population of over 35 million historic Morocco is best known for its colourful history, breathtaking scenery, the Sahara Desert and of course Moroccan Argan Oil.

Thousands of years ago the people of south eastern Morocco discovered the attributes of Argan Oil after they extracted the oil from the pit of the olive like fruit which only grows on the Argan tree. Tree climbing goats unique to this region of Morocco climb the Argan tree and eat the fruit allowing the pit to go undigested through their system and out as waste.

In 1510 African explorer Leo Africanus came across Moroccan oil while travelling through northern Africa. The oil soon made its way to Europe where it was quickly identified by the aristocracy for its healing powers and its skin and hair moisturising properties.

The rest, as they say, is history except that for centuries Oil of Morocco has only been available to those in the know and to the very wealthy.

Today however Silk Oil of Morocco have made this amazing oil not only available, but also affordable to those who want the very best for their skin and hair. 

'Totally Hair Direct' has been operating for the last 15 years in both the UK and now Australia.
