1997 saw Silk Oil of Morocco founder, Shirley Piscina, launch Totally Hair Direct, a specialist hair extensions and accessory business which has since grown to become one of the world’s most popular and well known hair accessory and hair extension brands.

One day in the day to day research of finding and developing better hair products, Shirley discovered Argan Oil (which was then a close kept secret of the rich and famous) for its amazing effect on human hair.

Shirley set about creating a Hair Care / Skin Care product range using Organic Argan Oil which she promptly named Silk Oil of Morocco, (Morocco being the only country in the world which produces Argan Oil from the fruit of the Argan tree).

The Silk Oil of Morocco brand now boasts over 30 different Hair, Skin and Cosmetic products and is distributed throughout the world from the Silk Oil of Morocco headquarters in Brisbane Australia. Employing over 20 people locally, and with distributors worldwide, the Silk Oil of Morocco brand continues to establish itself as a leader in the hyper-competitive global Hair, Skin and Cosmetics industry.
